Just show up to a riding day! We will post riding days on our events page and Facebook. We ask that you let us how many people intend to come riding, we have have limited parking on the property and want to ensure we have enough instructors out there. Once you reach out we will send you the address. There will just be a waiver that needs to be signed when you join.
Let us know when you plan on joining us for a horse riding day and we will send you our address. The horses are kept on private property near the Iowa School for the Deaf.
We have open group/club riding every weekend alternating either Sat or Sun (winter is usually whichever day is warmer in all reality). Weather and staffing is always under consideration due to all our instructors are volunteers.
It is FREE! We do require that all riders 16yrs+ or their parents participate in our fundraising. We have multiple events through out the year but our biggest one is CWS and Husker Football game concessions. We typically have a set # of volunteer hours or # of games that everyone needs to help with as a minimum for active members.
No, while we love to have families who have horse knowledge already but it’s not required or expected. We do group riding type of set up so that everyone can learn & work together.
We teach and work with kids/adults/families of all ages.
